Chernobyl was indeed a tragedy. It killed around 50 people. Luckily, it can be 100% prevented by design. For the reactors we have outside of Russia, that kind of accident is literally impossible. The worst kind of accident we can have in e.g. Western European or American reactors is something like Fukushima, which didn’t kill anyone. Why Fukushima led to a massive evacuation which itself killed people through stress is a story in itself (ask if you like).
