Great piece. Really frustrating that the EU is so anti-science when it comes to things like gene editing. Sad that the place where the Enlightenment begun has become a continent of conservatives when it comes to science and engineering. Worse still, they impose this ideology on the developing world, thus depriving them the tools to improve drought and flood resistance of their crops.
