Hi Eric. Interesting! I didn’t know of any history to the term before the 2015 manifesto. Perhaps the term’s meaning has diverged from your ideas? I saw the name of Stewart Brand in your article. Brand defined himself as an ecopragmatist in his book “Whole Earth Discipline”, in which he argued in favour of urban living, GE crops and nuclear power.
