Thanks for your response. Things like caring for family members is certainly a noble thing to do. I worry though where the agency (power) would lie in a society in which us normal people are not required for its functioning. Would it be bad for democracy? Would AI ignore certain marginal groups because providing for them had minimal utility? There are ways to defend against all that — I just wanted to get people thinking about some of the risks so we can guard against them. Cheers.
