There’s a difference between personal insults and criticising a general behaviour.

Not sure what masculinity has to do with it, but let’s roll with it: Why do you thinking driving safely or in the least-polluting way isn’t masculine? Would a masculine father not want to protect their child from dangerous driving or unnecessary pollution? A masculine father might also find that driving an economy model helps them save money for theirs kid’s future. As for danger, it’s fine to do dangerous stuff, as long as you’re putting yourself in danger (e.g. rock climbing) and not others (e.g. performing a dangerous overtake in a car). Can we agree there is a difference?
